General - All Sections:
Per Team:
  • Compass
  • Watch 
Per Competitor:
  • Headlamp
  • Capacity to carry 1.5L of water
  • Additional Batteries for your headlamp/Torch
  • Rain Jacket
  • Plastic Plate/Spoon/Fork/Knife (Basic cutlery for meals)
  • Cup for Drinks/Refreshments
  • Light Rain Jacket
  • Medical kit per team (Kindly refer to medical List page for more information. Note: All teams are required to bring deep heat spray x 2 per team)
  • Hydration system, such as a Camelback, Salomon
  • Altimeter
  • Map Case Holder
  • Sun protection, such as a hat, sun screen
  • Powerfood/isotonic drink
  • Torch light
  • Vaseline (for feet, crotch and blisters)
  • Mosquito Spray
  • Sleeping Mat

Bike Sections:
  • All 'General' equipment including allen keys if neccessary


Per Team:

  • Pump
  • Basic repair kit (Alan keys)
Per Competitor:
  • Mountain bike
  • Helmet
  • Spare tube
  • Red back light
  • Front light, attached to the bike (if competitors are using a head torch this can be used instead)
  • Bike with front fork suspension
  • Map holder that can be fixed to the handle bar of bike
  • Chain tool
  • Bike gloves
  • Tire patches
  • Base camp repair kit with additional items such as break pads, tire, etc (This may be left with your gear which will be transported daily from base camp to base camp so you are able to conduct repairs on your bicycles if neccessary)

Water Sections:
  • All 'General' equipment plus
Per Competitor:
  • Life Jacket (PARTICIPANTS are requested to bring their own life jackets. Each team should have a jacket for each team member. Please also include a bag to store the jackets in during the race for our officials to monitor and transport to the tire tube sections)
  • Rubber Inner Tube may be required for some river sections (this is provided for each participant.)
  • Small waterproof bag/dry bag if neccessary
